Vegan Salted Caramel Muesli Apples

Celebrate Halloween with our Vegan Salted Caramel Muesli Apples

 

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Makes: 8 salted caramel apples

Ingredients:

170g pitted medjool dates, soaked in warm water for 5 minutes

1tbs melted coconut oil

1 generous pinch of salt

2 tbs of water (more if needed)

8 apples

a little bow/generous handful of Primrose’s kitchen carrot, apple and cinnamon muesli

8 small wooden sticks or twigs

 

Instructions:

Get the pitted, soaked dates and place them together with the coconut oil, salt and water in a bowl.

Then using a handheld blender combine until a soft, thick caramel-like mixture forms.

If needs be add 1-2 more tablespoons of water until your caramel has the consistency you’re after.

When happy with the consistency, use some twigs or wooden sticks and push them into the top centre of your apples.

Then using a knife, cover your apples in the caramel mixture.

Finally dip your caramel covered apples in the muesli. Enjoy!
