The Great British Beaches

The Special Coastal Edition

It won’t be long until the days start warming up and we can start spending more time outside on our beautiful British coast. The problem is that our coast needs our help if it is going to maintain its natural beauty. Plastic has become the enemy of our seas and coastline and I wanted to let you know about some great organizations doing something about this with events that you can join in on.

Bridport Transition Town Cogden Beach Clean

Join us at 11am-12.30 on Sunday February 24th at Cogden Beach, west of Burton Bradstock for a fun, friendly and fresh beach clean with the Transition Town team.

Newcomers: bring stout waterproof shoes, warm clothing and your own gloves

Great Dorset Beach Clean 2019 – 27th & 28 April!

Litter Free Coast and Sea are back with the 30th annual Great Dorset Beach Clean over the weekend of April 27th and 28th April 2019.

Beach cleans will take place from Lyme Regis all the way along the coast to Friars Cliff, so there’ll be plenty to choose from.
